Man dead, suspect detained following Southside shooting

Jacksonville, FL — One man is dead and multiple people have been taken in for questioning, following a shooting on the Southside.

JSO was called to Crownwood Drive around 1PM Friday, where they found a man dead of a gunshot. The victim’s identity is not yet being released, but he is an adult man, according to police.

Multiple people have been taken to be interviewed, and JSO says they believe one of those individuals is their suspect. This appears to be a domestic incident, according to the preliminary investigation, although JSO is still working to determine the relationship between the suspect and victim and what led up to the shooting.
