Missing Nassau woman’s death being investigated as a homicide

The Georgia Bureau of Investigations has now confirmed that the woman found dead in Charlton County, Georgia is the same woman who had been reported missing from Nassau County.

And now, a Jacksonville man is being charged in connection to her death- which is being investigated as a homicide.

We first told you last week that the Nassau County Sheriff's Office was searching for Jennifer Perry, who had gone missing from the Bryceville area. Late Friday, officials confirmed a body had been found in Georgia, and family of Perry reported at that time that the remains were hers.

The GBI now confirms it was Perry’s body that was found.

This investigation is being treated as a homicide, per the GBI. Autopsy results are still pending to determine her cause of death.

As we learned Perry was missing, we confirmed her vehicle had been found in Baker County with 33-year-old Delbert Goodman behind the wheel. He was detained in Baker County on charges of possession of marijuana, possession of drug equipment, and a traffic violation. The GBI now says a warrant has been issued for Goodman for concealing the death of another person.

The GBI says the investigation is still ongoing. If you have any information, you’re asked to contact them at 912-729-6198.
