Jacksonville, Fl — Expect another day with brief, heavy downpours. Action News Jax Meteorologist Garrett Bedenbaugh says the showers are hit and miss today.
“Tropical moisture being pushed off from southeast to north and west across our area. Sally is well to our south and west, likely to strengthen to a hurricane later today and into tonight before making its way inland along the Louisiana or Mississippi coastline early tomorrow”, said Bedenbaugh.
Highs will reach the upper 80′s to near 90 degrees in between showers. Scattered showers and storms will continue tomorrow too.
A back-door cold front will push south and enhance showers and storms. Highs will be knocked down to the mid 80′s with more cloud cover and showers. We will see the threat for rain each day this week.
