As the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office continues its search for a mentally incapacitated man who is considered missing, they’re releasing a new photo of him from after the time he was initially reported to be last seen.

We were first told that at 9:15AM Wednesday, 72-year-old Albert Hughes was picked up by a Z-Trip driver in the 3200 block of North Myrtle Avenue. He was supposed to go to the Quality of Life Treatment Center on Alumni Drive, but JSO says it's unclear where he was actually dropped off.

Now, JSO says Hughes was seen on surveillance near Ft. Caroline and University after he was picked up. This photo shows Hughes at that time, including the clothing he is still believed to be wearing.

Hughes is 6’, 250 lbs., with brown eyes and gray hair. JSO says he has a mental incapacitation, doesn’t communicate well, and becomes disoriented and confused. He normally receives round-the-clock care.

If you have any information about Hughes’ location, or you have seen him at some point since he’s been missing, JSO is asking you to contact them at 904-630-0500 or JSOCrimeTips@jaxsheriff.org.
