Jacksonville, FL — There is light at the end of this hot and humid tunnel. After setting another record with 93 degrees yesterday, we're in for another record-challenging hot day today.
Action News Jax Meteorologist Garrett Bedenbaugh says we'll come close to the record high of 91 degrees today, which was previously set in 1989.
“So another hot one, but the good news is we do have a cold front approaching the area today, moving through late this afternoon and into the evening hours. So a few isolated showers, a little bit more cloud cover as that front passes”.
PODCAST: All the weather, all the time
By Thursday we’ll turn breezy and cooler. High temps will stay in the 70’s closer to the coast, and low to mid 80’s well inland.
Temps stay in the low to mid 80’s Friday and Saturday, too.
I'm tracking not ONE but TWO cold fronts set to move through over the next 5 days. Are you more excited for 80s or 70s?! #firstalertwx pic.twitter.com/Wpl64X6NU9
