Pedestrian steps into traffic on San Jose Blvd. in Mandarin, dies

Jacksonville, FL — A pedestrian who stepped into oncoming traffic on San Jose Blvd. near Orange Picker Road in Manadarin has died.

According to Jacksonville Police, 34 year old Jason Boone exited a vehicle around 10pm Wednesday and stepped into the northbound lanes when the a northbound vehicle hit the pedestrian.

The driver stopped at the scene and was cooperating in the investigation. JSO Traffic Homicide was handling the investigation.
