Jacksonville, FL — The Jacksonville Jaguars have sealed a spot in the post-season for the first time in a decade, and Jags fans are funneling that excitement in to some trash talk.
Literally.
Fans have been sending garbage cans, garbage bags, and similar items to Houston Texans Defensive End Jadeveon Clowney.

Clowney called Jags Quarterback Blake Bortles “trash” after the Jags topped the Texans 45-7 this past weekend. For his part, Bortles responded in stride.
“If how we're playing and how I'm playing, if that's trash, then I'm fine with being trash,” Bortles said during a media availability this week.
Bortles has had a strong last few games. The Associated Press reports he has thrown for 903 yards, with seven touchdowns and no interceptions in the last three games. In the game against the Texans, he completed 21 of 29 passes for 326 yards.
Local public relations professional and original Jaguars season ticket holder Bonnie Upright appears to have started the trend, which she’s calling #MerryTrashmas. She tells WOKV she was watching TV this morning when the idea came to her.
“There’s no rhyme or reason as to why I decided to do this,” she says.
She says she thought it would be harmless fun, in light of the comments that had been exchanged, so she looked up the team address at the stadium and plugged it in.
“Sat here and looked at it for a few moments, said am I really gunna hit purchase, am I really gunna check out? Sure, why not!” Upright says.
While she says she expected it to gain some traction on “Jags Twitter”, she didn’t expect people would follow suit and send items as well.

Now that the trend has kicked in, though, it’s not too late to join in yourself.
“If you’ve got an Amazon account you can get on there, you can get a trash can for $5, $6. Doesn’t have to be expensive. They have teal trash cans,” she says.
Upright can’t imagine what it will be like at the stadium when the deliveries come in, only wishing she could see it. She hopes that- after the joke sinks in- the items get put to use or donated. The Jaguars fan base recently did a fundraiser that allowed dozens of children to go to last weekend’s game.
👏 Same group that is participating in #Trashmas just raised $3500 in 36hrs to send 40 underprivileged kids to last week’s Jaguars game. Same group filled up a truck with coats for the homeless at the same game. We do both! https://t.co/Uw4gKurcaL

During a media availability Thursday, Clowney was asked about reports that Jags fans were sending trash cans to him.
“I’m done with the Jaguars. Don’t ask me no Jaguars questions. Any more questions?” he responded.
The Jags are 10-4 right now, and have a chance to clinch the top spot in the AFC South with a win over the San Francisco 49ers this weekend.
So how many trash cans get to NRG stadium? What’s the guess?

Did mine via Amazon with gift receipt. Jadeveon can keep It, or has a $17+ credit to claim by returning it. Up to him to put in the work and donate. He’ll have the time because this #offseason for him starts earlier than Blake’s. pic.twitter.com/TrJzu9Qgyp
