Jacksonville, FL — We have one more very warm day before this remarkable run of record temperatures comes to an end. Action News Jax Chief Meteorologist Mike Buresh says fog this morning will give way to partly sunny skies and afternoon temps near 80 degrees. Today’s record is 84, set in 1947.
Wednesday was the fourth consecutive record tying or breaking warm day.
“We’ll see the clouds increase this afternoon and a couple of showers will develop as a cool front moves southward into the area. Not expecting much rain, the amounts will be sparse”, said Buresh.
It'll be noticeably cooler by Friday morning and we’ll only be in the low 60’s with brisk winds off the Atlantic. Mike says another, shorter, warming trend begins on Saturday. Winter-time temps, including morning frost, returns early next week.
