Jacksonville, Fl — We came just short of a daily high record on Thanksgiving, hitting 83 degrees. And more record-challenging temps are in store today.
Action News Jax Meteororologist Alyssa Pejic is tracking partly sunny skies and temperatures climbing into the low 80s. The record of 83 degrees was set in 1973. An isolated brief shower is possible this afternoon.
The weekend is looking mild with temperatures in the mid 70s and partly sunny skies. Both days will have scattered showers and storms, especially late on Sunday, as a strong front comes through.
Showers may linger early on Monday but skies will eventually clear and temperatures will only be in the upper 60s.
Tuesday will be even cooler and breezy with temperatures only in the mid 50s.
