Jacksonville, FL — The search for a missing swimmer off South Ponte Vedra Boulevard is now considered a recovery effort.
St. Johns County Fire Rescue says two men were in the water around 7PM yesterday, when only one came back on shore. Water and air searches started last night, but were suspended late in the evening and resumed this morning.
We’re told the missing swimmer is a middle-aged man who may live locally.
This is a developing story that will be updated through the day.
