‘Targeted event:’ JSO says man in critical condition after shooting in Holiday Hill neighborhood

JACKSONVILLE, Fla — Action News Jax has learned through a JSO press conference that a man sustained life-threatening injuries after being shot in the Holiday Hill neighborhood.

Officers responded to an apartment complex at 400 Century 21 Dr. at around 9 p.m. in reference to a shooting.

Once JSO arrived they found a man in his 20s with a gunshot wound to his upper body.

The victim was transferred to a local hospital suffering from life-threatening injuries. He has not been able to answer any questions regarding the shooting because of his condition.

JSO says they believe the shooting was a “targeted event”
