The Jacksonville Zoo and Gardens kicks of ZOOLights ‘bigger and brighter’

Jacksonville, FL — The Jacksonville Zoo and Gardens will be celebrating the holidays with holidays with the wildest holiday event in North Florida – ZOOlights.

ZOOlights lights up the Zoo from December 7th-9th and 14th – January 5th (they will be closed on Christmas Day.)

JZG will be teaming up with Feeding Northeast Florida to give back to the community this holiday season. They will be hosting a food drive during the first weekend of ZOOlights. For every three perishable food items brought to the Zoo, a $5 off coupon will be issued for a ZOOLights ticket.

This year ZOOlights is debuting the Jingle Bell Jukebox Revue to help celebrate the holiday spirit. The group consists of local artists who will be a performing festive during nightly shows on the Great Lawn.

Performances are not the only thing to keep guests entertained, there will be hot chocolate, and even themed nights.

ZOOLights is presented by Community First Credit Union. The Zoo will continue to have regular park hours each day, closing at 5 p.m. and reopening at 6 p.m.

Admission starts at $8 for members, $10 for non-members.
