THE PLAYERS Championship unveils new trophy

The golfer who wins THE PLAYERS Championship this year will bring home a trophy that honors the winners before him.

Tournament officials have unveiled the new design, which combines features of the 38 prior tournament champions in designing the face. The trophy itself is modeled after the PGA TOUR’s swinging golfer logo, but is set on the 17th island green, which is a hallmark of this course.

Tiffany & Co. designed the trophy, which is made of sterling silver and 24k gold vermeil.

THE PLAYERS Championship returns to March this year, at TPC Sawgrass.
