Tony’s Turkey Trot for Brain Injury Awareness 5k - Thanksgiving Day Race

ATLANTIC BEACH, Jacksonville, Fla. — Tony’s Turkey Trot for Brain Injury Awareness 5k and Brooks Rehabilitation 1-mile Fun Run, Walk & Roll will be held on November 24 - Thanksgiving Day - at the Beaches Town Center in Atlantic Beach.

Event proceeds will be awarded to the Leon L. Haley Jr., M.D., Brain Wellness Program at UF Health Jacksonville; TraumaOne UF Health Jacksonville; and the Brooks Brain Injury Clubhouse.

As noted in a press release by UF Health of Jacksonville, “UF Health has a long history of caring for patients who experience traumatic brain injuries, or TBIs, with highly trained physicians and staff saving countless lives over the past four decades.”

Held rain or shine, the 5K begins at 8 a.m., followed by the 1-Mile Fun Run, Walk & Roll at 9:30 a.m. The awards ceremony will take place following the 1-Mile Fun Run. Among the many awards distributed, an award will be given for the best Thanksgiving costume.
