Jacksonville, FL — Just over a week after the Jacksonville Beach Police Department issued two arrest warrants tied to the shooting death of a young father, the two suspects have now turned themselves in to investigators in Honolulu, Hawaii.
Neither are charged directly in the death of Leon Bennett, 23, who was fatally shot after what first started as an apparent fight outside the Pier Cantina restaurant.
It's not clear why the two suspects were in Hawaii. We're told they're now awaiting extradition back to Duval County.
Smiles & hugs at Leon Bennett’s memorial as family & friends gather to celebrate the arrests. @ActionNewsJax @WOKVNews pic.twitter.com/HTfq8ayAob
