Jacksonville, FL — The driver of a car that was rear-ended on to train tracks in Riverside was able to get out of his car before it was hit by an Amtrak train in Riverside this morning.
The crash happened at McDuff and Post Street this morning. The driver of the car was able to get out of his car before the train struck it.
A spokesman says Jacksonville Fire Rescue was not dispatched to the area.
An Amtrak spokesperson says there were no injuries reported to the 125 passengers or crew members on board. The train, which was headed to Miami, was delayed approximately one hour.
