Jacksonville, FL — It was an ugly, wet and cool drive to work on Friday, and we’re not done with the rain. Action News Jax Chief Meteorologist Mike Buresh says a new record of 3.17’’ of rain exceeded the 1916 record of 1.50’’ by 10am.
A few showers will redevelop this evening as an upper level disturbance rolls by our area. A coastal shower is possible on Saturday along with breezy conditions. We won’t make it out of the 50’s on Saturday.
It appears we’ll salvage some sun by Sunday afternoon, however temps will stay below average throughout the weekend.

☔️🚙🌧️Messy morning commute across coastal SE GA & NE FL including JAX Metro area - heavy rain will create slick roads & poor visibility - allow extra drive time, go slow & allow space between vehicles! #jaxwx #flwx #gawx pic.twitter.com/RaV5s936PG

I fear we may have several problems this morning with the heavy rain, blinding at times.
