Jacksonville, FL — A 15-year-old student is facing felony charges following a threat of violence at Keystone Heights Junior/Senior High School.
According to an incident report, the boy told a school resource officer that someone had wrote on the ceiling of the boy’s restroom, “I’m going to shoot up the school” with a smiley face at the end.
The 9th grader gave the resource officer a description of the person he claimed to see standing on the sink counter.
Police and school officials met with the student and later, his aunt. Officers told the teen’s aunt they suspected he had actually wrote the message.
According to Clay Deputies, the teen confessed to the incident. He’s now charged with felony charges of written threats to kill or harm and false reporting of firearm violence.
This arrest comes a little more than a week after Clay deputies arrested a 13-year-old and a 15-year-old girl for two separate school threats--- one targeting Oakleaf Junior High School, the other Oakleaf High School.
