Man arrested in connection to a series of attacks on women in the Biscayne Blvd area

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office made an arrest in connection to a series of attacks on women in the Biscayne Boulevard area of Jacksonville’s Northside.

JSO continues to investigate all of the reported incidents.

The 18-year-old suspect was identified as Cole Martese Wright.

He was interviewed by officers about one of the ambush-style attacks that occurred weeks earlier.

After being interviewed, Wright was arrested for felony battery and false imprisonment and was transported to the Pre-Trial Detention Facility without incident.

As JSO further investigated reports in the area, they found an additional burglary was reported in August 2020.

Further investigation into this incident revealed Wright to be the suspect, and he was subsequently arrested for burglary as well.

Special assault detectives continue to investigate the burglary and attempted sexual battery and the remaining early morning ambush-style attacks on women in and around the 11000 block of Biscayne Boulevard.

JSO asks that anyone with information on Wright, the crimes he has been arrested for, and the remaining unsolved incidents to contact the office at 904-630-0500 or via email at JSOCrimeTips@jaxsheriff.org.
