Man and woman on the run in connection to Westside apartment shooting

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — What started as an argument outside the Palomas Apartments on Laclede Avenue ended with a man in his 30s shot in the leg.

During a briefing Thursday morning, Jacksonville Sergeant Michael Wang said two men and a woman were fighting when one of the males pulled out a gun.

Before police arrived, the shooter and woman ran off in unknown directions. The victim was transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening injures and is expected to be okay.

It’s unclear how the three people knew each other or if any of them lived in the apartment complex. However, JSO siad there is no threat to the community.
