There’s a good chance you’ll see the Blue Angels flying over Jacksonville this week, but don’t expect to be allowed on the base at Naval Air Station Jacksonville to watch if you don’t have permission.
NAS Jacksonville says there will be an increase in aircraft activity Wednesday through Friday due to the practice session. That means you might see the Blue Angels in the sky or hear them overhead if you live or work in the area.
If you’re lucky enough to find a spot off the base to watch the practice, it could be the only chance you’ll get this year after the decision was made to pull the plug on air shows at all Navy Region Southeast military basis due to COVID-19 restrictions. But the Blue Angels will be back in 2022 for the full show.
