SWAT standoff comes to an end in Arlington

A SWAT situation between JSO and a man wanted for attempted murder has come to an end.

SWAT members tear gassed 39-year-old Lamont Hicks bringing the standoff to an end.

Friday morning the swat team was called out to the 9800 block of Regency Square Blvd. at Regency Place Apts. in Arlington. JSO had been searching for 39-year-old Edward Lamont Hicks. Police attempted to serve a warrant around six this morning but say Hicks refused to come out.

Investigators say Hicks has an active warrant for attempted murder and for possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. Police say he's wanted in connection with a shooting on May 7th of this year. Investigators say the shooting occured at 1591 Lane Ave. South, Canterbury Gardens Apts.

Hicks is now in police custody.
