OMAHA, Neb. — A Nebraska man suspected of planting a fake bomb in downtown Omaha is being held on a $2 million bond after authorities found mass quantities of drugs and cash inside both his car and residence.

Authorities contend a surveillance video showed Thomas Trouba, 25, take two boxes from the back seat of his vehicle, set them down on the sidewalk near the Douglas County Courthouse at about 2 p.m. Friday and drive away, WOWT reported.

A subsequent search of Trouba’s residence revealed at least 2,000 grams of suspected THC wax, roughly 227 grams of MDMA, about 181 grams of suspected marijuana, scales for weighing narcotics and U.S. currency totaling $16,850, according to an itemized list made public Monday by the police department.

He has been charged with threatening explosive use/placing a false bomb, possession of a controlled substance and a misdemeanor count of obstructing government operations, KETV reported.
