WFTV reported that the system will use facial recognition to take an image of a guest’s face, converting it to a number that will be used for admission.

The pilot program will be in testing for the next month.

Participation is optional, but those who want to try it must have valid theme park admission and a park reservation, then go to the “Facial Recognition Technology Test Lane.”

The person will have to remove all accessories like hats or sunglasses but keep their mask on as they approach the cameras.

Then, all they have to do is look at the cameras and use either their Magic Band or valid ticket near the scanner to activate the system.

If guests return to the park during the testing period, which the company says will run through April 23, they should consider using the testing lane so Disney can understand how well the system works, WFTV reported.
