Precautionary boil water advisory issued for part of Nassau County

Nassau County Emergency Management announced the advisory Sunday morning.

NASSAU COUNTY, Fla. — A precautionary boil water advisory is in effect for portions of Nassau County residents served by JEA, the county’s emergency management division announced Sunday morning.

See the map below to determine whether your residence falls under the advisory:

“An equipment failure at one of JEA’s water plants resulted in the issuance of a precautionary boil water advisory to customers in the West Nassau service territory,” a JEA spokesperson told Action News Jax.

Under the advisory, officials ask that residents bring water to a rolling boil for at least one minute before using it for drinking, cooking, making ice, brushing teeth or other activities involving consumption.
