Jacksonville, FL — The week has started off with a disruption at Mandarin High School when a bomb threat was received, forcing police and school leaders to put the school on a code yellow lockdown.
The campus was deemed safe after a thorough search by police. Students and staff had been moved to the gym and auditorium as police conducted a search of the building shortly after the school day started.
A parent staging area was set up at Christ’s Church on Greenland Road. And the district says lunch was being prepared off campus to deliver to campus.
These are the last two weeks of class in Duval County Public Schools. The last day of class is scheduled for Friday, May 31st.
