Jacksonville, FL — More than one year since a young Jacksonville woman was found dead from a reported self-inflicted gunshot wound, Jacksonville Police have announced an arrest of a man for murder.
Police found 22-year-old Aunesty Hite dead in July of 2017 at a home on Dunsford Terrace, near Philips and Emerson.
The victim’s boyfriend told police that Hite shot herself. An officer described him as distraught at the time.
Over the past year, Homicide Detectives discovered evidence that Hite had been shot by her boyfriend.
27-year-old Sean Lovins was arrested on Wednesday for a charge of murder. He was booked into the Pre-Trial Detention Facility and was not eligible for bond.
