UPDATE: Baby boy found safe in Jacksonville

6-week-old Armoni Francis was reported missing around 11 pm Wednesday.

Jacksonville, Fl — UPDATE 7:35 am: Baby Armoni Francis has been located safe. The Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office says 43-year-old Kondwani Thomas has also been located safe. The circumstances surrounding the incident continue to be investigated by police.

The Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office is putting out an appeal as it searches for a missing 6-week old. Armoni Rakeem Francis was last seen in the custody of a man at a home on the city’s northwest side.

Officers responded around 11:00 pm Wednesday to a complaint that Francis was in the custody of 43-year-old Kondwani Thomas at a home on W. 14th Street.

Both were last seen leaving the home on foot in an unknown direction. Thomas was carrying a blue and black backpack-style diaper bag.

JSO says due to the circumstances surrounding the disappearance they are trying to ascertain their safety.

The baby has brown eyes and black hair. Thomas is a Black man 6′4″ and 220 lbs. He has brown eyes and black hair. He was wearing a black shirt, black pants and white shoes.

Anyone having seen or who knows the whereabouts of Kondwani or Armoni is asked to contact the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office at 904-630-0500 or 911.
