Jacksonville, Fl. — The Florida Department of Transportation says the Heckscher Drive Bridge on Browns Creek has not collapsed. FDOT Spokesperson Ron Tittle says inspectors had reported that the approach road at the bridge has erosion from water causing traffic to be detoured. An emergency contract has been submitted by FDOT to make repairs that could take about a week, but there is no specific time frame.
