Jacksonville, FL — By mid-June standards, our weather this week is going to be cool. Action News Jax Chief Meteorologist Mike Buresh says our average high is about 89 or 90 degrees.
“We’ll be below average, the night time lows will drop well down into the 60’s over the next couple of nights. It’s a bargain for this time of year”, Buresh said
A few strong storms could develop on Tuesday, but otherwise rain chances are pretty minimal. We begin to warm up into the upper 80’s by the end of the week. Father’s Day weekend will be hot and mainly dry with only a few inland afternoon showers and thunderstorms.
Jacksonville International Airport recorded 8.5’’ of rain from June 6 - 13. Our June average is 6.5’’.
