Firefighters put out a fire at a convenience store near Melrose.
Clay County Fire Rescue reports the call came in just before 4 a.m. from Nick's Kwik Stop at 8800 State Road 21. They said the fire was fully engulfed when they arrived. Firefighters got control of the fire around 4:20 a.m. Power lines are down in the area.
Fire crews from both Clay and Putnam County responded to the scene.
No injuries have been reported. The building is being called a total loss.
The fire is being called suspicious in nature and the cause of the fire is under investigation.
