Jacksonville, FL — It's safe to dig in!
The Clay County Sheriff's Office says after receiving a complaint about Halloween candy that had potentially been tampered with, they're now giving the all clear.
Deputies tell us after putting out the alert about the initial case, they received two additional tampering complaints. However, after a complete investigation, they've determined all of the allegations were falsified and that no candy had been tampered with.
Instead, Clay County deputies tell us they're now investigating potential charges for these false allegations and are in talks with the State Attorney's Office.
