Jacksonville FL — If you’re looking to buy a home soon, Consumer Warrior Clark Howard says home prices appear to be cooling off. Clark says the higher prices for homes kept going up and up, but that is over now. He says that’s due to the higher mortgage rates that have made it tougher for you to buy a home, have made it even tougher for others to want to buy a home.
“These big increases are done, home sales, not falling off a cliff, but slowing a whole lot”. Clark says.
Clark says another downward trend around the US is that asking prices are dropping. Clark says he sees the marketplace trending in the direction of home buyers.

“I figure in the next year or so, interest rates are going to start declining on mortgages and will be even more your friend as you go out to shop,” Clark says.
