Cooler, sunny weather returns

Tracking a much cooler afternoon and chilly mornings ahead.

Jacksonville, Fl — Rain and storms late on Wednesday brought much-needed rain but no storm damage to NE Florida. Now cooler air has returned and will be our weather story for the next few days.

Action News Jax Chief Meteorologist Mike Buresh is tracking morning temperatures in the 40s with a gusty breeze out of north and west. Afternoon temperatures only climb to near 60 this afternoon.

The weekend starts off dry and sunny on Saturday. A few clouds build in on Sunday with some evening showers. It’ll be the warmest day of the weekend in the low 70s.

Overnight, we turn chilly with lows in the lower to mid 30s inland and upper 30s to lower 40s along the coast. Tomorrow will be sunny as well. Highs only make it to about 60 degrees on Friday afternoon after some morning inland frost.
