Jacksonville City Council member inviting community to join Operation Boost

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — Council Vice President Sam Newby is inviting the Jacksonville community to join Operation Boost.

Operation Boost is a workforce readiness event that will help connect people to short-term training programs that will help connect them to high-wage jobs.

The recruitment expo will give individuals the opportunity to work with program and admissions representatives and show them available scholarships and financial aid.

There are three events that the community can attend:

Free applications will be available for attendees.

  • APRIL 17, 2021 10 a.m.–1 p.m. Clanzel T. Brown Community Center 4575 Moncrief Rd. Jacksonville, FL 32209
  • APRIL 22, 2021 5–7 p.m. Mary Lena Gibbs Community Center 6974 Wilson Blvd. Jacksonville, FL 32210
  • APRIL 24, 2021 10 a.m.–1 p.m. Flossie Brunson Eastside Park 1050 Franklin St. Jacksonville, FL 32206
