‘Suspicious activity’ led to 2 school lockdowns in Jacksonville

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — UPDATE: Both lockdowns were lifted just after 10 a.m. Tuesday, according to a message posted on the website of both schools.

The schools are returning to a normal bell schedule and a follow-up message will be sent to parents.

Terry Parker High School and Parkwood Heights Elementary are currently under a lockdown because of a security concern in the vicinity of both schools.

Duval County Public Schools confirms all students and staff are safe.
