JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — The Jacksonville Fire Rescue Department is saying there is a fatal accident involving a bicyclist and a car on Jacksonville’s westside.
The Florida Highway Patrol says the 51-year-old bicyclist died at the scene.
According to the FHP report, a sedan was traveling in the northbound lanes of Chaffee Road when a bicyclist came from the eastbound shoulder into the lane where the sedan was. This resulted with the driver colliding with the bicyclist.
Drivers should expect delays in the area of POW-MIA Memorial Parkway and Chaffee Road as the road is currently blocked.
