Jacksonville, FL — As part of the ongoing I-95/I-10 construction project downtown, the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) has announced a year-long closure of the I-95 southbound ramp to Stockton Street, beginning November 13.

The closure is necessary for crews to construct new dedicated Stockton and Irene Street ramps designed to improve the traffic flow at the I-10 interchange.

During the lengthy closure, motorists traveling on I-95 southbound can take Forest Street to Margaret Street, which turns into Edison Avenue; or they can continue to I-10 westbound and use the McDuff Avenue exit to Edison Avenue.

FDOT says that detour signs will be in place to help direct drivers through the transition.

Both detours will reconnect to Stockton Street.
