JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — UPDATE 10:35 PM: A motorcyclist is dead after he was ejected from the motorcycle following a collision with trees on Haines St.
According to FHP, the motorcyclist was traveling westbound, exiting Arlington Expressway onto Haines Street. He traveled off the roadway to the left and crashed into a small grove of trees.
The motorcyclist was ejected and came to rest in the wooded area. He was pronounced dead on scene. FHP’s report states that he was a 62-year-old man from Yulee.
FHP says the crash is still under investigation.
The Florida Highway Patrol is investigating a fatal crash on Haines Street near the Mathews Bridge.
FHP is reporting that there is no roadblock.
