FHP: Local man charged in three car-crash on I-10

Jacksonville,Fl. — Troopers with the Florida Highway Patrol has charged 45-year-old Israel Lokietek with careless driving after a crash on I-10 eastbound had lanes shut down for hours and sent four people to the hospital.

Lokietek was driving a GMC pick-up in the right lane of I-10 after U.S. 301. FHP says a red Chevrolet pickup truck came to a complete stop in front of Lokietek. There was also a gold Pontiac stopped in front of the red Chevrolet. The crash report states that Lokietek failed to stop safely behind the Chevrolet causing him to rear-end it.

This crash caused the pickup truck to rear-end the gold Pontiac. Four people were taken to the hospital all with serious injuries.

FHP did not say why the gold Pontiac had was stopped in the middle of the road before the crash.
