JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — This morning is dry and warm with temperatures near 80 degrees under partly cloudy skies.

  • Today will be hot with temperatures generally in the middle 90s and feels like temperatures up to 105°F.
  • Afternoon thunderstorms will increase today compared to the weekend, with more places seeing some heavy rain, frequent lightning strikes, and strong wind gusts.
  • Storm coverage increases even further for Tuesday afternoon, with additional rounds of heavy rain, lightning, and wind.
  • A typical summertime pattern continues through the end of the week with hot afternoons, a few daily storms, and humid nights.
