First Alert Weather: The warming trend is underway

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — The First Alert Weather Team says temperatures are starting to rise.

Here’s what you can expect:

  • Some light rain over Southeast Georgia this evening. It’ll be partly to mostly cloudy over Northeast Florida with lows tonight well above freezing – in the 40s to low 50s.
  • The rest of this week will be partly cloudy with temperatures at least near average if not above average, and there is no threat of any frost or freezes through the next 7 days.
  • High temperatures will peak Friday approaching 80 degrees!
  • A fairly weak front Friday night will bring a few showers into early Saturday morning, but it doesn’t look like significant rain and temperatures will only be a little cooler.

RIGHT NOW: Clouds are moving into the area with a few light showers primarily over the SE Ga. Temps. are mild in the 60s to low 70s except Waycross to Brunswick where it’s in the 50s.
