ST. JOHNS COUNTY, Fla. — Multiple people are hurt after five cars crashed on Interstate 95 between County Road 210 and International Golf Parkway Monday night, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
Seven people were transported due to the crash. Two people were pinned in the vehicle and four additional people were transported to a local hospital.
A driver of a tractor/trailer tried to make a u-turn from the center lane of the interstate. The vehicle behind him crashed into him, which resulted in the five-car pileup.
The driver, a 57-year-old man from West Palm Beach, did not have any injuries.
The people from the second and third vehicles involved all have serious injuries. The people seriously injured are 26, 75, 81, and 82 years old.
