Former Jaguars quarterback Mark Brunell has emerged from his Chapter 11 bankruptcy case, according to the Financial News and Daily Record. A judge confirmed his reorganization plan Monday.
Brunell filed for Chapter 11 in June 2010, listing liabilities of $24.7 million and assets of $5.5 million in the initial filing. Brunell lost the money to investments that went bad, including real estate and several Whataburger franchises.
The 41-year-old has spent 18 years in the NFL and is currently on the New York Jets' roster. He's expected to retire at the end of this season.
