Jacksonville, FL — Four aisles over in the dairy section, milk was getting low along with rice on another aisle.
The store currently has a limit of two per customer on “high-demand items” such as hand sanitizer and Lysol wipes.
Once products such as disinfectant wipes, hand sanitizer and toilet paper are stocked on the shelves, they are quickly taken off.
The company did say it is working diligently with its suppliers to keep these high-demand items in stock.
Action News Jax also went inside Winn Dixie on Beach Boulevard who also has limits on how much toilet paper and bottled water customers can buy at once.
Shoppers can no longer operate the self-serve deli bars because of fears over the coronavirus.
Our last stop was inside Walmart where workers were seen restocking supplies as shoppers continued removing them off the shelves.
We checked the dairy section inside Walmart and found the were no eggs.
Some viewers posted to Action News Jax Facebook page about the panic buying.
Some of them thanked workers for their hard work.
Others were concerned saying people are taking more than what they need.
One viewer even noted that she panicked to see empty shelves than the virus itself.
Publix will close their doors at 8 p.m. until further notice.
All Winn-Dixie locations will now close at nine o’clock every night.
Walmart stores are normally open 24 hours but they will now be open from 6 a.m. to 11 p.m. until further notice.
