JFRD looking into suspicious fire at old Bennigan's building

Jacksonville Fire Rescue Department has put out a structure fire at the old Bennigan's restaurant on Blanding Boulevard in Youngerman Circle.

Firefighters had the flames under control fairly quickly and are continuing to investigate. We're told the fire was suspicious in nature.

No one was transported from the scene. The building was abandoned at the time of the fire.
