St. Johns County deputies investigating home burglary, suspect left with a bag of chips

Jacksonville, FL — It's a bizarre story out of St. Augustine.

The St. Johns County Sheriff's Office is investigating after a home burglary on Alava Court, off of Shores Boulevard.

According to the incident report obtained by WOKV, deputies were called to the home Tuesday evening, after the owner came home from work to find the front door kicked in.

However, the owner says nothing was missing, expect for a bag of chips.

Once inside, deputies say several drawers and closets appeared to have been rummaged through, with the burglar even moving a jewelry box into the kitchen.

At this time, there's no suspect information.
