St. Johns County records first coronavirus death

Jacksonville, FL — St. Johns County has recorded its first coronavirus-related death. In its midday update Tuesday the Florida Department of Health confirmed the death in St. Johns County.

The 52-year-old man was classified as a travel-related case as he had traveled to Florida and Minnesota. He had been in contact with a confirmed case.

Overall, St. Johns County has recorded 22 positive cases of Noon Tuesday. 27% of the cases were travel related.

Duval County has three deaths and Clay County has two.  There have been no confirmed deaths in Baker or Nassau Counties.
