Jacksonville, FL — The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office is searching for a pair of suspects they say carjacked a cab driver and then used the stolen vehicle to rob a bank.
According to JSO, just before 11:00 AM Thursday, a man and a woman got into a cab on Hogan Settlement Road, just off of Normandy Boulevard. Police say as the cab driver began to pull off, the man told her to stop and get out of the car.
The victim told officers she saw the man point a gun at her, as he demanded she start walking toward the woods.
JSO says the suspects then drove to the nearby Wells Fargo at 7991 Normandy Boulevard, where witnesses told police they saw the two suspects enter the bank and display black handguns. Police say the two demanded money and told everyone to get on the ground.
After getting the cash, police say the two fled in the stolen cab. The cab was later found abandoned at Fouraker Road and Hogan Cove Road.
JSO describes the male suspect as a white man with a goatee. He was said to be wearing a light blue, long sleeve dress shirt, with a dark colored tie, white pants, black sunglasses, and a white shemagh.
As for the female suspect, JSO describes her as a white woman, who was wearing black pants, a black jacket, black gloves, and a black, white, and a gray hijab.
