Jacksonville, FL — UPDATE 3:33 AM:

JSO says the child has returned home safe.

The Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office is asking people to keep an extra eye open for a missing child from the Westside.

Police say 11-year-old Jayla Foster is missing from the McDuff/Commonwealth Area. JSO says the child reportedly walked away from her home at some point on Monday night. She was last seen wearing a multi-colored shirt with black/gray sweats.

JSO says due to the circumstances surrounding her disappearance, they are asking the community for help to try to ascertain her safety.
